NiF’s grip slipping?

For those of you who do not frequent our cheerful forums overseen by the despotic Rave, there was a little discussion about NiF’s dominance in the last few battles. Clearly my comments on political inaction stirred something deep within SF’s soul. As cunning as ever, SF led the sheep down a false path, releasing a statement as follows:



All this time, Rave was clearly plotting something sinister; NiF’s downfall. Throwing down the gauntlet, SF pumped an extra 7,000,000 plinks into their war chest before charging head long into NiF’s flanks. As predicted, NiF’s south eastern flank proved to be very vulnerable and NiF have tumbled down to third place. Not to be out done, NiF have now spent an incredible 12,000,000 plinks. I’ve attached a link to an animated gif below detailing the day’s gains and losses.

Don’t worry, I’ll spend some time during the week finding a way to add “cleaner” arrows. NiF still have 75 territories, with SF holding a mere 25 territories more. At this stage of the game, those 25 territories will earn SF 2,500 more troops than NiF at the end of each battle window- that is the equivalent of 1,200,000 plinks. Crucially, now that the behemoth has been weakened, other, small clans shall be hovering around like vultures eager to move in for the kill.

Our other ex-titan, VIA, did not fare so well today either. Limping along in 12th place, VIA are clinging to a handful of territories in England after WoC’s aggressive push out of Ireland. With just over half a million plinks spent, WoC are really getting value out of their money (they are in 6th place)- just like IP who came before them who also used Ireland as their base of operations. Strangely enough, VIA’s one time nemesis, TAR, did not move in for the killing blow. VIA did attempt to move into the Netherlands but /I\ held the line, just as TGG sent a force into Scotland.

The real winner tonight, beyond a shadow of a doubt, was JFK. With a conservative spend of 5,000,000 plinks, JFK are proudly perched atop the leaderboard. Out of the many clans who I (and other notable FBG personalities) have dealt with over the years, none have a Public Relations Policy like JFK. All known attempts to contact our German friends have been met with a wall of silence (or a torrent of incomprehensible German!). This has created an unpredictable juggernaut of almost mystic proportions- nobody has a f***ing clue what they are going to do! JFK literally ripped /I\’s Slovenia holdings, leaving /I\ in 4th place.

The rest of the battlefield was quite quiet tonight- I’m sure everyone is gearing up for next week’s finale. For the first time in a long time, it looks like NiF might not lift the trophy. Below is a static image (the larger image will show borders and clan names).

Unfortunately, despite my numerous agents throughout Italy and Sicily, I managed to forget to mention a rather Epic stand off between LW and JFK. Unless you spent the last battle under a rock, you'll know that JFK's unequaled aggression pushed them to the top of leader board; their lead would have been even greater if the considerable forces they deployed into LW's Italian and Sicilian territories succeeded. In an intense and fierce series of skirmishes, LW performed their patriotic duty and held them off. I wonder is a counter-attack in order?
I couldn't give a flying llama.
